Mobile billboards — Industries
Mobile billboard advertising for car dealerships
Car buyers shop the dealer strip — and every dealership on it is fighting for the same drive-past decision. A mobile billboard puts your deal on the road before the strip: your vehicle, your monthly instalment, your dealership, from R200 a day.
Why dealerships get results from a trailer
A car is the second-biggest purchase most people make, and the shortlist forms in traffic — on the daily commute past the strip, weeks before the showroom visit. The dealership a buyer already recognises gets the walk-in.
The message also changes constantly: this month's finance deal, the demo clearance, the used stock that must move before month-end. That churn is a poor fit for a static site locked into one message for a contract, and a natural fit for a trailer — a new board prints in-house in 2 – 3 working days, and four repositions a month keep it on the routes feeding your dealership. We have carried boards for Audi and Mercedes-Benz among the brands on our trailers.
What dealerships put on the board
- — One vehicle, one instalment. "Polo Vivo from R3 499 p/m" is a board a driver can act on. A logo and a slogan is not. We flag instalment-free artwork before it prints.
- — Month-end and quarter-end pushes. Timed campaigns for the weeks when targets are decided.
- — Used and demo stock. The high-margin stock that never gets the national ad budget.
- — Service and parts specials. A different audience — your existing owner base in the surrounding suburbs — and a steady year-round message between sales pushes.
- — New dealership or brand launches. A suburb learns once that a new franchise has arrived; the board makes sure it does.
Who has run dealership boards with us

What a dealership campaign includes
- — 4 trailer moves every month
- — Free setup
- — Weekly photo updates
- — Free third-party cover on a fully insured fleet
Rates run from R200 a day depending on campaign length. We review your board copy against the AIDA framework before printing — around 80% of a campaign's success comes down to what the board actually says. See the full 2026 cost guide for what drives the price.
Straight answers for dealerships
Can the board change every month with our offers?+
Yes. In-house printing turns a new board around in 2 – 3 working days, so a month-end offer can be on the road at the start of the month it applies to. Dealerships running with us long-term plan boards around their monthly offer cycle.
Where would you park it — near our dealership or wider?+
Both, on a schedule. Typical rotations split the month between the approach routes to your dealership and the residential suburbs your buyers come from, with a photograph after every move so your DP or marketing manager sees exactly where the board stood.
Do OEM co-op or brand rules apply?+
Usually — most manufacturers have CI rules for dealer advertising, and some co-op funds cover outdoor. We supply the artwork template with exact dimensions the same day, so your marketing office or agency can produce compliant artwork, and formal quotes by email are available for co-op claims and procurement.
Does this work for used-car dealers and small independents?+
Yes — arguably best of all. Independents have no national brand campaign doing the awareness work; the board is that campaign, at a fixed daily rate, parked in the suburbs your stock sells to.
