Mobile billboards — Industries
Mobile billboard advertising for events and promotions
An event has one shot at its audience and a hard deadline. A mobile billboard is built for that shape of campaign: your date, your venue, your ticket line, parked on the Gauteng routes your crowd drives, live within 3 working days of artwork approval — from R200 a day.
Why events get results from a trailer
Ticket sales follow awareness, and awareness in a suburb is built on repetition. The board at the intersection your audience crosses daily becomes a countdown they cannot miss — first the announcement, then the reminder, then the last-tickets push, each a fresh board from our in-house printer in 2 – 3 working days.
Geography seals it. Most events draw from the suburbs around the venue, and the board can work those exact suburbs in sequence: four repositions a month, moving closer to the venue as the date approaches, with a photograph of the board on location after every move — proof for your own sponsors, too.
What events put on the board
- — Date, venue, ticket line. Nothing else. A driver has four seconds; the poster version of your event does not survive them. We flag cluttered artwork before it prints.
- — Countdown campaigns. Announcement board, then a "this weekend" board as the date lands.
- — Route boards. On the roads to the venue in the final week, doing double duty as directions.
- — Recurring events. Markets, race days, church conferences and school fetes that repeat — the suburb learns your rhythm.
- — Activations and promotions. Product launches and in-store promotions with a fixed window buy exactly that window at a fixed daily rate.
What an event campaign includes
- — 4 trailer moves every month
- — Free setup
- — Weekly photo updates
- — Free third-party cover on a fully insured fleet
Rates run from R200 a day depending on campaign length, with a month-to-month plan and no long-term commitment — a natural fit for a campaign with an end date. See the full 2026 cost guide for what drives the price.
Straight answers for event organisers
How late can we book and still make our date?+
Most campaigns are live within 3 working days of artwork approval — printing takes 2 – 3 working days in-house, and the trailer goes onto its first position straight after. If your event is close, tell us the date upfront and we plan the print and placement backwards from it.
Can the board move closer to the venue as the event approaches?+
Yes — that is the classic event schedule. Early positions build awareness in the draw suburbs; the final repositions put the board on the venue's approach routes for the last week.
We need proof of exposure for our sponsors. What do you provide?+
A photograph of your board on location after every reposition, with the location — the same photo-proof reporting every campaign gets. Many organisers pass these straight into their sponsor reports.
Does this work for small community events, not just big festivals?+
Yes. A school fete or church conference drawing from three suburbs is exactly the catchment one trailer covers well, at a daily rate a community budget can carry.
