Mobile billboard advertising for home automation and security installers
Home automation sells suburb by suburb: the households with the homes, the budgets and the security concerns cluster in specific areas. A mobile billboard parks your brand at the entrances and routes of exactly those suburbs, from R200 a day.
Why installers get results from a trailer
Smart home and security work is a trust purchase — homeowners let you into their house and onto their network, and they choose installers who feel local and established. A board that residents pass every day at the centre where they shop does that work: by the time a homeowner needs an installer, yours is the name the suburb already knows.
Targeting is the other advantage. Your ideal customer is not "Gauteng" — it is a handful of suburbs and estate approach roads where the housing stock fits what you install. A static billboard cannot buy that precisely; a trailer can, and it moves four times a month to cover each pocket of your service area in turn.
What installers put on the board
- — One system, one benefit, one number. "See your home from your phone" with a starting price beats a list of every brand you carry. We flag catalogue-style artwork before it prints.
- — Security-led messages. Cameras, beams, smart gates and alarm integration — the entry point most Gauteng households act on first.
- — Backup power and energy integration. Inverters, solar tie-ins and load shedding automation remain a message this market responds to.
- — Estate and complex campaigns. Boards on the approach roads to estates where you already have installed sites — your existing work becomes the referral, and the board is the reminder.
- — "Installed in this area" credibility. Local proof is the whole sale in this industry.
What an installer campaign includes
- — 4 trailer moves every month
- — Free setup
- — Weekly photo updates
- — Free third-party cover on a fully insured fleet
Rates run from R200 a day depending on campaign length. See the full 2026 cost guide for what drives the price.
Straight answers for installers
Which suburbs should the board target?+
Start where you already have installed sites — the board converts best where your vans are already seen and neighbours can ask for references. From there, rotate into the adjacent suburbs with the same housing profile. Four repositions a month are included, so one campaign can cover your whole service area in turn.
How does this compare to flyer drops?+
Flyers reach a letterbox once and compete with everything else in it. The board stands at the suburb entrance all week, at eye level, every trip in and out — and we can run flyer distribution alongside the trailer as an add-on, so the two work together instead of you choosing.
Can the artwork change when our offer changes?+
Yes. We print in-house, so a new board is ready in 2 – 3 working days — a summer security special can follow a winter backup-power board without waiting on an outside print queue.
Is a photograph really sent after every move?+
Every single one. You receive a photo of your board on location each time the trailer is repositioned, so you always know which suburb your brand stood in that week.
