Mobile billboards — Industries

Mobile billboard advertising for schools and colleges

Parents choose schools close to home or on the way to work. A mobile billboard is built for that geography: an enrolment board parked on the school-run routes and shopping centres your prospective families already use, across Johannesburg and greater Gauteng, from R200 a day.

Why schools get results from a trailer

A school's catchment is a handful of suburbs, but its marketing options are mostly priced for a whole city. Radio reaches a province; a highway billboard reaches everyone except the parents five minutes from your gate. A trailer parks at the centre where those parents buy groceries, on the route they drive at drop-off time, at the intersection between your school and the suburbs you draw from.

Timing is the other half of it. Enrolment is seasonal — applications for the following year concentrate in a few months, with open days as the deadline. A board can go up for exactly that window at a fixed daily rate, move to a new position every week within the season, and come down when applications close. You are not paying for the ten months when nobody is choosing a school.

What schools put on the board

Who has run school boards with us

Future Nation Schools ran a preschool enrolment board with us in Fleurhof, and Blue Hills College is among the brands we have carried. One school told us in a Google review that we showed professionalism and willingness to assist their school with marketing, and that they would highly recommend us. You can see the boards in our gallery.

What a school campaign includes

Rates run from R200 a day depending on campaign length — and because enrolment season runs for months, most schools qualify for the 3-month rate of R230 a day or better. See the full 2026 cost guide for what drives the price.

Straight answers for schools

When should an enrolment campaign start?+

Before your open day, not after. Most schools run the board for the full application window — typically a 3-month campaign timed so the board is up when parents start shortlisting and stays up through the open day. Tell us your key dates and we plan the placement schedule backwards from them.

Can the board move between the suburbs we draw from?+

Yes — four repositions a month are included. A common schedule rotates the board through your three or four feeder suburbs across the month, with a photograph sent to you after every move so your marketing committee can see exactly where it stood.

We need governing body or head office approval. What do you need from us?+

A quote and the artwork template, usually — we send both the same day on WhatsApp, including the exact board dimensions, so your committee approves a real proposal rather than an idea. Formal quotes by email are available for procurement files.

Does this work for tertiary colleges and training academies?+

Yes. The geography changes — boards go where school leavers and working students commute, near taxi routes, campuses and transport hubs — but the logic is the same: a fixed-rate board in the exact area your students come from.

Tell us your suburbs and your open day date. We will tell you what it costs.
