Mobile billboard advertising for estate agents
An estate agent's whole business happens inside a few square kilometres. A mobile billboard is the only outdoor format priced the same way: a board with your face, your number and your latest sold sign, parked in the exact suburb you farm, from R200 a day.
Why estate agents get more out of a trailer than anyone else
Property is a trust purchase, and trust is built by being seen in the same place, week after week. A seller deciding who to mandate does not phone the agent with the biggest national brand — they phone the agent whose name they already know from their own neighbourhood.
A static billboard on the highway shows your face to a hundred thousand people who live somewhere else. A mobile billboard parks at the shopping centre your farm area actually uses, on the school run route, at the intersection every resident crosses twice a day. When a listing moves or a show day is coming, the board moves with it — four repositions a month are included as standard.
What agents put on the board
- — Agent branding. Your face, your agency, your number. The board that makes you "the agent in this area" before the seller ever needs one.
- — New listings and sole mandates. "Just listed in [suburb]" parked two streets from the property.
- — Show day boards. Positioned on the approach routes the weekend before.
- — Sold boards. Nothing wins the next mandate like proof you moved the last one.
- — New developments. Launch boards parked where the target buyers already shop — we have run these for developments in Midrand and across Johannesburg.
Who has run property boards with us
RE/MAX Masters has run multiple agent-branding campaigns on our trailers across Johannesburg and Randburg, and Harcourts used a board outside a Midrand shopping centre to market the Sedgewood development. You can see the boards in our gallery.
What a real estate campaign includes
- — 4 trailer moves every month
- — Free setup
- — Weekly photo updates
- — Free third-party cover on a fully insured fleet
Rates run from R200 a day depending on campaign length. We review your board copy against the AIDA framework before printing — an agent board that is just a logo and a slogan gets flagged, because the boards that pull are the ones with a face, one message and one number. See the full 2026 cost guide for what drives the price.
Straight answers for agents
Can the board move when my listing moves?+
Yes — that is the point of the format. Four repositions a month are included, and you get a photograph of the board on location after every move. Tell us where the new listing or show day is and we plan the next position around it.
Should the board advertise me or my listings?+
Both, at different stages. Agent-branding boards build the recognition that wins mandates over months. Listing and show-day boards convert that recognition in the week it matters. Most agents who run with us long-term alternate between the two.
Does my franchise need to approve the artwork?+
Usually yes — most groups have brand guidelines for agent marketing. Send us your CI document or put us in touch with your marketing office, and we will supply the artwork template with the exact dimensions before anything is designed.
Which suburbs can you park in?+
Sixteen suburbs across Johannesburg and greater Gauteng — see all areas we park. If your farm area is not on the list, ask anyway: we add locations for campaigns that need them.
