Mobile billboard advertising for new property developments
A development's marketing has one job: put qualified buyers in front of the sales office before the launch window closes. A mobile billboard parks the development in the exact Gauteng suburbs its buyers currently live in, from R200 a day — and moves as the sales phases do.
Why developments get results from a trailer
Development buyers are not everywhere; they are in specific feeder suburbs — renters ready to buy, families upsizing, investors watching a node. A highway gantry charges you for a province to reach them. A trailer parks at the shopping centres and intersections of those feeder suburbs specifically, then shifts onto the routes to the show house when the sales office opens. Harcourts marketed the Sedgewood development with a board of ours outside a Midrand shopping centre on exactly this logic.
The campaign also has natural phases, and the board keeps up with them: a teaser board before launch, a launch-weekend board with the date, then a sales-phase board — "2 beds from R899k" — that runs until units move. Each new board prints in-house in 2 – 3 working days, and four repositions a month are included.
What developments put on the board
- — Price from, and the unit type. "2 bedroom apartments from R899 000" is the board that generates show house visits. A render with a lifestyle slogan is not. We flag price-free artwork before it prints.
- — Launch and show house dates. Countdown boards on the feeder routes in the two weeks before, then on the approach roads to the sales office on the weekend itself.
- — No transfer duty / costs included. The line that moves first-time buyers.
- — Phase releases. Each new phase is a new board and a fresh reason for the suburb to look again.
- — Last units. Scarcity is the strongest board a development ever runs.
Who has run development boards with us
Harcourts used one of our boards outside a Midrand shopping centre to market the Sedgewood development, and RE/MAX Masters has run multiple property campaigns on our trailers across Johannesburg. You can see the boards in our gallery.
What a development campaign includes
- — 4 trailer moves every month
- — Free setup
- — Weekly photo updates
- — Free third-party cover on a fully insured fleet
Rates run from R200 a day depending on campaign length — and since sales phases run for months, most developments qualify for the 3 or 6 month rates (R230 and R200 a day). See the full 2026 cost guide for what drives the price.
Straight answers for developers and their agencies
Can the campaign follow our sales phases?+
Yes — that is how development campaigns run best. Teaser positions in the feeder suburbs, launch-weekend boards on the show house routes, then a rotating sales-phase schedule. Tell us the launch date and we plan the placements and artwork changes backwards from it.
We report to a marketing committee. What do you provide?+
A photograph of the board on location after every reposition — location included — which drops straight into the campaign report alongside your digital numbers. Formal quotes by email are available for procurement, and one WhatsApp thread runs the account week to week.
Can we run more than one trailer?+
Yes. Larger developments run one trailer working the feeder suburbs and another holding the show house approach routes, each with its own photo reporting.
Our agency handles the artwork. How do they get the spec?+
We send the artwork template for the assigned trailer the same day — dimensions, bleed and safe area marked — and we review the copy against the AIDA framework before printing, so a weak board gets flagged before it costs a print run.
